About Short Term Stream Visa
- work in Australia for up to 2 years for your sponsor or work in Australia for up to 4 years if an International Trade Obligation (ITO) applies, or up to 5 years if you are a Hong Kong passport holder
- study (you won’t receive government assistance)
- travel to and from Australia as many times as you want while the visa is valid
- if eligible, apply for permanent residence.

Eligible former TSS visa holders on Short-term stream, who have worked in Australia during the COVID-19 pandemic, will be also able to apply for a third short-term stream TSS visa while in Australia.
To be eligible applicants must
- have held not more than two short-term stream TSS visas
- have been in Australia between 1 February 2020 and 14 December 2021 for at least one year while holding a TSS (Short-term stream) visa
- meet all other nomination and visa requirements for the TSS (Short-term stream) visa
- lodge application before 1 July 2023.
To apply for a TSS visa applicants must hold a substantive or bridging (A, B or C) visa at the time of application.

- The nomination is generally valid for up to 12 months from the approval date.

Expenses for getting a Short Term Stream Visa
The visa costs AUD1,330.00 for the main applicant and for each dependant 18 years and over.
It costs AUD335.00 for each dependant under 18 years old.
You will have to pay other costs for English language tests, health checks, police certificates and biometrics.

We will not refund the application fee if we refuse your application.
