Conditions for obtaining of Cyprus permanent residence

Investors can choose one of the following options in order to apply for Cypriot permanent residence:

  1. Buy residential property;
  2. Purchase commercial real estate;
  3. Invest in a Cypriot company;
  4. Invest in units of Cypriot investment funds.

Each of these options requires an investment of €300,000.

Applicants who fulfill the investment condition, pass

the Due Diligence process conducted by the Cyprus Migration Department and fulfill the other requirements of the program will be able to obtain a permanent residence permit.

Investment in offices, shops, hotels or similar properties. Commercial real estate is purchased     in the same way as residential property, apart from the fact that the investor can buy property on the secondary market.

Application process

Choose one of four investment options.
Collect documents for personal identification and documents confirming the sources of the invested funds. Preparation by a lawyer of a package of documents for the selected investment option.
Make the investment.
Submit the required documents to the Civil Registry and Migration Department (CRMD). The application is considered by the government for 2-4 months.
A letter of approval of the application is issued by the relevant government department.
Visit Cyprus to give your biometrics.
The permanent residence card is issued within 40 days from the date of submission of biometrics.
Move to Cyprus. Within one year from the date of approval of the application, the holder of the residence permit must become a permanent resident of Cyprus. To maintain Cypriot permanent residence, you must visit Cyprus once every two years.
